How Committed Are You?
Sometimes, we think there will always be tomorrow, next week, or another time with everything we do.
But what happens if this is all you are going to have?
It's natural to avoid things in business that will scare us.
It's natural to feel fear in the face of failure.
So, what does it take to be committed to your business?
For me, it always comes back to these three things.
1) Having a vision and mission that aligns with my purpose for being in business in the first place.
Does this make you feel excited to get out of bed every day?
When was the last time you drilled down on your vision and mission?
2) Moving through self-doubts and having unconditional love for yourself.
Stop thinking I am not good enough, smart enough, talented enough and embrace you for being uniquely you.
If you struggle with this, try the Cookie Jar Method and write down all of your past achievements and all the things you have overcome on pieces of paper and put them in the cookie jar.
Then anytime you feel not good enough, go to the jar and pull one out.
3) Maybe you are setting the bar too low and need to look at developing some big goals that fill you with excitement and a little bit of fear.
If your plans are too easy to reach, your commitment can wane, and you look for shiny new things.
Set bigger goals that include a little bit of fear and lots of excitement.
Then learn to master discipline and connect those goals with your daily actions.
To stay committed to your business, you will need to be flexible and persistent, find people who are only interested in building you up, get help when and if you need it, review everything you do and last but not least, have a bit of fun along the way.
Remember that every step you take today will elevate you towards achieving your dreams tomorrow.
So How Committed Are You?
